Of the 60 new positive cases, 23 are contacts of confirmed cases and the source of infection of four is being investigated. As it has already become a trend, the largest number of infections (33) are citizens with a source of infection abroad.

Divided by provinces, Havana had the highest number of imported cases on Saturday (17), while Artemisa, Cienfuegos, Villa Clara and Ciego de Ávila reported three. Pinar del Río appears with two cases infected abroad, and one in Isla de la Juventud and Holguín.

Regarding the 27 autochthonous cases, the 11 reported in Palmira, Cienfuegos, a province with a low incidence rate, call attention. Of the rest of the provinces, Pinar del Río has six (five in Sandino and one in Consolación del Sur) and Villa Clara has three (from Manicaragua, Santo Domingo and Santa Clara).

Camagüey (Florida and main municipality) and Santiago de Cuba (both from Songo La Maya) appear with two contagions, while a case is reported from Havana (Regla), Artemisa (Caimito) and Ciego de Ávila (Morón).

According to official sources, 103,641 diagnostic tests (PCR) have already been carried out on the island. During the last days the number of tests has been around 8,000-9,000, but this Saturday the number grew to 10,466 samples, one of the highest since the pandemic began.
