Another 4 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Cuba; a total of 25

716 persons are hospitalized for clinical-epidemiological surveillance.

According to data provided at the end of March 21, at 8:00 am this Saturday, another 4 new cases of COVID-19 had been confirmed in Cuba.

The total since the first case was reported is 25 in the country, although only 23 people remain hospitalized.

One of the 25 confirmed cases was an American who was evacuated to the United States last Friday in an ambulance plane.

The other, the 61-year-old Italian patient who died in the early hours of March 18.

Two of the 23 patients currently hospitalized are reported in critical condition and one is in serious condition.

The Ministry of Public Health reports that 716 people are hospitalized for clinical-epidemiological surveillance in the isolation and care centers created for this purpose.

Of these “suspicious” cases, 205 are foreigners and 511 are Cubans.

Another 28,139 people are monitored at home in Primary Health Care.

On Saturday night, a Cuban medical brigade of 52 doctors and nurses left for Italy to collaborate in the fight against COVID-19 in the region of Lombardy, in the north of the country.
