As for the new cases, 38 are Cubans and 17 foreigners, all from Venezuela, who were detected upon arrival in the western province of Matanzas. Among all the patients, 33 are contacts of confirmed cases, in three it has not been possible to specify the source of infection and 19 arrived from abroad, since the Venezuelans are joined by two residents in Cuba (in Ciego de Ávila and Holguín).

By sex, 12 were female and 43 were male, while 61.8% (34) of the new positive cases were asymptomatic.

Finally, among the autochthonous cases, Sancti Spíritus was the province that reported the most cases at the end of this Friday, with 16. It was followed by Pinar del Río–the territory with the most contagions in the last 15 days–, with 12; Ciego de Ávila, with six; and Havana, with just two.
