A few hours before Havana enters its first recovery phase and almost all the provinces pass on to the second level of the de-escalation, the health authorities reported that Cuba had five infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus yesterday, all located in the capital and circumscribed to three municipalities.

No serious or critical cases are reported, according to Dr. Francisco Durán, who as usual celebrated that there have been no deaths from COVID-19 today and, on the island’s transition to the “new normal,” he insisted on the need for greater individual responsibility due to the importance of asymptomatic patients in this disease.

The new cases are Cubans, four of them were related to detected patients and in one the source of contagion is not specified.

Men predominated over women (3-2) and, by age groups, two are under 20 years old and three are between 40 and 60 years. Only one person was asymptomatic at the time of diagnosis.
