The cases of COVID-19 dropped to 701 in Cuba this Sunday, only hours until the end of March, a month that has left 22,614 infections and it seems that it will remain in the statistics as the one with the worst results for the island in its confrontation with the pandemic.

The figure is the third lowest of the month after infections fell to 639 on the 12th, and to 689 on the 17th.

This Monday the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) issued the information in its daily report, where it confirms that most of the patients identified in the last 24 hours were infected through autochthonous transmission (696) of the SARS-CoV-2 virus: 661 were contacts of confirmed cases and five were acquired abroad, all Cuban travelers.

Havana continues to be the province that identifies the most daily cases: 378, between autochthonous and imported. In addition, the 12 municipalities that concentrate 49.7% of the transmission in the last two weeks are from the capital. Old Havana, Regla and Centro Habana present the most complicated situation.
