The capital continues to lead in incidence rates, with 309 per 100,000 inhabitants. They are followed by Guantánamo and Santiago de Cuba, with rates of 170.1 and 144.9 per 100,000 inhabitants, respectively.

Three of the deceased also resided in the capital; the fourth in Mayabeque: three men, one woman, all aged between 72 and 88 years. With these deaths, the pandemic leaves 304 fatalities on the island; 88 so far in February.

Regarding the ages, Dr. Francisco Durán has once again called attention to the care and responsibility of those who live with the elderly due to the risk that the pandemic represents for their health.

Today, 143 patients were reported as being over 60. Another risk group, those under 20 years of age, registered 124 cases; among them, 109 minors and five under one year of age.

As for the 12 imported cases, the countries from which the most travelers come were Spain and Russia. Two foreigners with the disease were also reported.

Until midnight, 18,966 people remained hospitalized, of them 66 in intensive care: 34 in critical condition and 32 in serious condition.

The laboratories processed 18,718 samples, according to the MINSAP. Of the total infections, 51.7% were asymptomatic at the time of their diagnosis.
